Fluent Living · Spanish for English speakers

Learn a language by living it.

Every language app teaches you about the language. Fluent Living gives you people to talk to: a cast of AI characters who text you, send you voice notes and call you about your actual day, in vocabulary you can handle, inside a relationship that remembers.

Your day, in Spanish

The daily loop

Fluent Living is built around your real day. A few minutes in the morning sets up a conversation that matters to you by evening.

Morning · 5–10 min

Prep

Send a quick voice note or photo about your day. Your teacher drills the exact words you'll need today, out loud.

Daytime

The texts

Your conversation partner texts you, shares photos and reacts, keeping things simple and building anticipation.

Evening

The conversation

Voice notes or a call about your day, using the words you prepared that morning.

The scienceThe gap between morning prep and the evening conversation is a built-in spacing interval: you learn at 8am and retrieve under real pressure at 7pm. Because the content is your own life, it encodes more deeply (the self-reference effect).

Your cast

The teacher

La Mamá

Warm, slow, endlessly patient, the way people actually learn their first language. She runs your morning prep, your placement and your pronunciation, and she does all the correcting. Prefer an abuela, a tío, a best friend or a coach? Choose who teaches you.

The life

Your partner

Someone you design: a business contact in your industry, a friend who shares your interests, or a romantic interest. Your partner never corrects you. They just talk, remember what you told them, and ask how the meeting went.

The characters are charming for one reason: so the language sticks. The goal is always real conversations with real people.

Text, voice notes, calls

Start with texting, move to voice notes, then calls. As you grow, the conversations get less scripted, all the way to an unannounced call that tests what you can really say on the spot. You set the times; quiet hours are always respected.

Words you can handle

Your characters speak at your level: mostly words you know, plus a few new ones you're ready for. The curriculum follows the most-used words and phrases in everyday Spanish, plus vocabulary for your work or interests.

Placement by conversation

No intimidating entrance exam. Your first call with your teacher finds your level, and the system adjusts as you go.

Inspired by the methods that work

Fluent Living draws on decades of language-teaching practice: producing a phrase before hearing it confirmed, building sentences from reusable chunks, removing the stress from mistakes, and speaking from day one. It schedules review with a modern spaced-repetition algorithm based on how you actually perform, never on how you rate yourself.

Fluent Living grew out of Babel Playhouse, an earlier project whose motto, Aprende viviéndolo ("learn it by living it"), became the motto of the whole QuestWise family.

Your privacy, taken seriously

What you share during casting (your interests, your humor, what draws you in) is some of the most personal information any app could hold. Fluent Living uses it to write your characters and nothing else. It never appears in notifications, and when you delete it, it's gone.
